Abstract
Women have suffered throughout the ages and years from persecution and neglect, especially in the time of pre-Islamic times and before the spread of the Islamic religion, until the advent of Islam and its emphasis on the importance of the distinguished and effective role of the Muslim woman and the extent of its influence on the family on the one hand and on building nations and societies on the other hand. In addition to her pioneering role in building the individual’s personality in terms of building and nurturing an effective individual capable of assuming responsibility and contributing in providing the needs and services of the community. The research tackles the effective role of the woman and its importance in education, and Mrs. Fatima Al-Zahra, (PBUH), will be taken as a living model and a good role model for Muslim women in explaining the pioneering and distinguished role of women in the field of science and education, in addition to their well-known role from an early age in raising children properly in accordance with the principles and values of the Islamic religion. This simple article aims to emphasize the importance of science and education in the development of societies and in building the nations, and to clarify how women are half of the society and they have a positive impact on building the personality of individuals in general. The women must also put before their eyes our Lady and Mawlatina Fatima Al-Zahra, (PBUH), and imitate her and adhere to the principles that she established. Since her early childhood, our Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (PBUH) was called her father’s mother because of the respect and appreciation she had for the honourable Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him and His Household). Most of the studies and the results have proven that women have an important and distinct role in the field of science and education because of the Muslim woman’s personality in terms of patience and exploiting some emotional points in her personality by influencing others and investing effort and time to benefit the other party. One of the most important reasons for choosing Fatima Al- Zahraa, the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, as a model for Muslim women is that the venerable lady was a scholar, not a teacher, because she was raised under the care of the Noble Messenger Muhammad, May God Bless Him and Grant Him Peace, the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers. Likewise, most studies indicate that the Lady Al-Zahra, (PBUH), preceded the actual age of her, so she took upon herself the responsibility of caring for the Noble Messenger Muhammad, May God Bless Him and Grant Him Peace, and alleviating the pain of separation from her mother after her death. Al-Zahra shared with her husband, the Commander of the Faithful (PBUH), in bearing the responsibility of the life. She was the best, patient, righteous wife who shared with her husband in times of adversity and bad situation. The role of Al-Zahra, (PBUH), was not limited inside her house only, but she was a center for educating many women inside Medina about the principles of the Islamic religion and the values that pertain to matters of their religion and their world. The lady Fatima Al-Zahra, (PBUH), was seeking to spread the principles of the Islamic religion and what she learned from the Noble Messenger (May God’s Prayers and Peace Be Upon Him and His Household) among sectors of the society, especially women. A person’s education plays a crucial role in their lives. It is essential to our future prosperity and to having a wealth of opportunities. There are several benefits to education for people. For example, it sheds light on one’s thoughts and perceptions. It assists students in making career plans or pursuing higher education by obtaining a university degree. A person’s ability to think, to feel, and to act in a way that supports their achievement and enhances both their community and personal happiness is aided by education in that particular field. Education also fosters the growth of a person’s personality, ideas, and social abilities. It also readies them for experiences in life. People that have it are given a unique position both within and outside of their communities. Everyone has the right, in my opinion, to have.
At the end of this simple article, the researcher recommends and emphasizes the importance of the role of Muslim woman in proper education, as most studies have confirmed that women in general and Muslim women in particular have a large and clear role that cannot be ignored or turned a blind eye to, considering that women are half of the society and have a pioneering and effective role in building and raising a healthy and conscious generation. As the poet Hafez Ibrahim said in his well-known poem, The Poem of Science and Ethics, “The mother is a school; if you prepare her well, you prepare a people with good races.” The poet resembled the mother (as a woman) to a school that, if prepared, “well” in all aspects. The educational aspects were the product of a people of good ethnicity. The researcher also reveals that there is a crucial need to benefit from the biography of the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, Fatima Al-Zahra, (PBUH), to enhance and confirm the role of women in society in general and the educational community in particular. It is also preferable to include some of the positions of Fatima Al-Zahra, (PBUH), within the educational curricula, especially in colleges of education for girls, in order to build a healthy and aware generation that places the venerable lady as an effective model during their practical and educational journey.
