The use of AI eliminates the need for face-to-face instruction, as learners can acquire knowledge independently of time and place. The result of this independent learning is that students acquire knowledge from home, thus losing personal and school connections. This leads to the neglect of social connections and isolation, and consequently, the absence of a sense of community and solidarity within society in the long run. One of the primary roles of teachers is to support students and promote their personal development, in addition to transferring experiences and providing social and academic guidance. Therefore, whether in a school, university, or training center, a teacher is not merely a mediator of knowledge transfer, but also a key element in character development and the transmission of social values.
To address this problem, there are proposals to adopt a blended model of education that relies on artificial intelligence to support learners and expand their options alongside teachers, who fulfill their traditional role of guiding and mentoring learners and maintaining social connections and communication between them. In general, experts assume that artificial intelligence will significantly change the teaching profession, but the profession itself can never be replaced. AI will make an important contribution to educational institutions in the future, but it cannot completely replace or replace the role of the teacher.
