A Scientific Workshop on Academic Titles Under the patronage of Dr. Laith Al-Wa’ili, Chair of the Dept. of Arabic, and as part of a program of the scientific and cultural events that the dept. of Arabic Language holds for this year, the Dept. held on Tuesday, March/29/2022, a workshop entitled “Academic Titles between Westernization and Arabization: The Doctorate as an example” where Dr. Khalid Al-Sayaab lectured on the term. The workshop discussed the etymology and the problematic of the term. The workshop tried to unravel the ambiguity of the term as well.
