A training Course in Language Skills
Under the auspices of the Dean of the College of Education for the Humanities at the University of Kerbala, Prof. Hassan Habib Al-Kuraiti (PhD) ,the Continuing Education Department in the college held a training course on Language Skills on Tuesday afternoon, January 24 , 2023, at Sayyid Al-Shuhada Hall. Two teachers in the Department of Arabic Language participated in the course : Asst. Prof. Ohood Thaban Youssef (PhD), and Dr. Doaa Kamil Had.
The language skills course is based on four basic skills in the communication process: (listening skill, reading, speaking, and writing ) .These language skills are communicative skills, and basic sources of science and knowledge, through which countries exchange knowledge, and through which the heritage and sciences of nations transmitted through generations are preserved. These skills are indispensable in all fields in general and learning different languages and cultures in particular.
The general objective of the course is raising the level of the individual in language skills. so that he/she could master analytical listening, conscious reading, proper speaking and correct writing according to the rules of the language.
The training course was attended by a number of undergraduate of the Department of Arabic Language, as well as the Asst. Dean of Scientific Affairs, Prof. Muayyad Omran Chiad (PhD) and a number of the professors at the college .
The course which continued for three days ended today, Thursday, January 26 , 2023,
