Workshop
The Department of English Language in the College of Education for the Humanities held a scientific workshop under the title (Academic Writing Wizard) in which Professor Hussein Ali Karim Al-Sharoufi (PHD) from the Arabian Gulf University for Science and Technology at exactly ten thirty in the morning today, Thursday 2/3/2023, in the Hall of University Presidency . At the beginning, Prof. Hussein spoke about the writing skill, which is the highest level in the list of language skills, and touched on the problem of writing that many language learners suffer from, indicating that there is a problem at the level of the word, the sentence, as well as the paragraph, and in order to strengthen the writing, the lecturer called for Writing and participating in some channels and pages that publish content in the English . He also indicated the need to use the Google Chrome browser, as it contains a spelling corrector. He also advised the use of the “Closemaster” website and application. The workshop was attended by the Asst. Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. (Muayyad Omran Chiad) and a number of the department’s teachers, as well as a number of undergraduate and postgraduate students. The attendees showed positive interaction with the content and themes of the workshop.
