Scientific Lecture
The Department of Arabic Language in the College of Education for Human Sciences on Sunday 5/3/2023, in the Hall of (Sayyid al-Shuhada (PBUH)) held a scientific lecture under the title (The Written Qur’an – Towards the Closed Approach). Professor (Hassan Abd al-Ghani al-Asadi) gave a lecture
n the beginning, saying: “The saying that the Qur’an was revealed complete and written at once contradicts the famous saying that the revelation of the Qur’an was sporadic over the years that the Messenger of Allah stayed in his call in Meqa and Medina.. Al-Asadi added, “Here we do not go to the narrations or historical incidents in that era, but we will resort to that book that does not come to falsehood and there is no difference in it, to see its references to its words, as it is more deserving of the statement than others, and it is more worthy of questioning if we question it.” Stressing that by contemplating the verses of the Holy Qur’an, the formative structure of the Qur’an becomes clear from its beginning. The Holy Qur’an stipulates that it was revealed at a specific time, which is the blessed month of Ramadan, through verse 185 of Surat Al-Baqara. The Almighty said: (The month of Ramadan in which the Qur’an was revealed, a guidance for people and clear evidences of the guidance and the Criterion…) The verse is clear about the descending of a whole in this month, not the partial descending, as there is no evidence for it. It can be carried otherwise, as if it is sexual. The lecture was attended by the Asst. Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. (Muayyad Omran Chiad) and a number of the teachers of departments , as well as a number of undergraduate and postgraduate students, .The attendees showed a positive interaction with the content and themes of the workshop.
