A Scientific Workshop
Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, Dean of the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Kerbala, the Continuing Education Division at the college, in collaboration with the Women’s Empowerment Unit, held a meeting entitled “Woman’s Literature in Kerbala” at eleven o’clock on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in the Hall of Sayyid Al-Shuhada (PBUH) in the college.
It was lectured by Lect. Salima Sultan Noor (PHD), who presented her literary biography, some creative experiences, and the delivery of her literary writings.
Following that, she answered questions asked by the audience, which revolved around feminist literature in Kerbala, the most important obstacles faced by female writers, and the relationship between academic specialization and creative writing.
The workshop aimed to introduce Karbala’i women’s literature and learn about the personal experiences of female authors (novelists and poets) who had won several awards.
The workshop was attended by Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Muayyad Omran Jiyad.
