A scientific symposium on the occasion of the birth of Imam Al-Hujjah(may Allah hasten his honorable appearance)
Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, Dean of the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Kerbala, the Arabic Language Department at the College held a scientific symposium on Thursday, February 29, 2024, in the Hall of the Master of Martyrs (PBUH).
The symposium began with a fragrant recitation of the Holy Qur’an. After that, His Eminence Sayyid Sadiq Al-Mudarresi, son of Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Taqi Al-Mudarresi, delivered a lecture.
The lecturer discussed the importance of making the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, a living model that draws inspiration from the Holy Qur’an and is suitable for all times and places. He emphasized the need for careful consideration of development and modernity, as they can be destructive and not constructive models for Muslim societies. The problems in Muslim societies today stem from moving away from the true model of guidance, the people of the House of Prophethood, represented by the Awaited Imam. The lecturer also answered questions posed by the department’s students at the end of the symposium.
The symposium was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Moayed Omran Jiyad and Dr. Salah Majeed Al-Saadi, as well as a number of the department’s instructors and students.
