Salah Al-Din Sabah, a student from the Department of English at the College of Education for the Humanities, University of Kerbala, played in the Iraq Universities Championship for Futsal, a football-based sport played on a hardcourt, as a member of the University of Kerbala’s team. The university team achieved second place for the 2024-2025 season, with Salah Al-Din scoring nine (9) goals during the tournament held at the University of Babylon.
The Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Hadi Al-Saeedi, praised Al-Din’s exceptional talent, stressing that the university’s students possess high intellectual and physical skills that qualify them to achieve top positions in their fields. Salah Al-Din was awarded a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his efforts.
It is worth noting that the University of Kerbala’s futsal team was the champion of last year’s tournament, during which Salah Al-Din was named the best player of the championship.
