October is the month dedicated to raising awareness among women in particular and the community in general about breast cancer. Therefore, the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the College of Humanities Education, Kerbala University, organized an educational scientific seminar on “The Importance of Early Detection of Breast Cancer,” presented by Prof.Dr. Sinaa Jabouri Mohammed (College of Pure Sciences Education / University of Kerbala), and Prof.M.Dr. Zaid Khadr Ahmed (College of Medicine/University of Kerbala) and Dr. Aseel Saad Saleh (Al-Hussein (PBUH) Teaching Hospital, Early Breast Cancer Screening Center).
The seminar included understanding the importance of early screening and its role in increasing the recovery rate among breast cancer patients, and the importance of conducting necessary tests early, especially for women with a first-degree family history of this type of cancer, as screening begins at the age of twenty. It also highlighted the importance of screening for those over forty, as well as the importance of self-examination and regular check-ups in government hospitals that provide free screenings to ensure early detection and recovery.
