In accordance with the directive of the respected Dean for fostering communication and collaboration between academic institutions and government agencies, the Department of Applied Geography at the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Kerbala, in cooperation with the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismological Observation, organized a field visit for postgraduate students in the Master’s program to the Kerbala Meteorological Station. The visit was supervised by Dr. Sundus Mohammed Alwan and Dr. Ameen Awad Kazem.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with modern automated meteorological stations and how they operate.
It is noteworthy that an agreement was made for future scientific cooperation, including the organization of seminars to further explore the details of the operation of these stations.
