The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Education for the Humanities, University of Kerbala, organized a student activity in the form of a dramatic scene performed by a group of second-year students, titled “Karbala-Gaza”. The event was attended by the esteemed Dean, his assistants, and a number of faculty members and students from the college.
The students presented a dialogue between a father and his son, discussing the necessity of steadfastness and resistance against the Zionist occupation, emphasizing that the goal cannot be achieved by surrendering the land to the plunderers. The scene was adapted from the poetic play Samson and Delilah by Palestinian poet Muneer Al-Bseiso.
In his remarks, the esteemed Dean, Professor Dr. Hadi Al-Sa’eedi, praised the importance of activating student activities in their various forms, as well as the role of theatrical performances in enhancing students’ rhetorical skills.
The activity was organized under the supervision of Dr. Abbas Al-Amiri and Dr. Doaa Kamil, with direct guidance from the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Jinan Mansour.
