The College of Education for Humanities organized a workshop on “How to Make a Difference?” Mastering counseling interview skills)), presented by (Dr. HossamSaleh Abdul Hussein, Ph.D.Dr. Marwa Abdel AdhemYassin).

The counseling interview is considered one of the most important tools in the field of psychological counseling, as it serves as a window for deep and effective communication between the counselor and the counseled.

The workshop aims to acquire relationship-building skills, specifically how to create a trust bond with the mentee, as well as training in effective listening, such as learning paraphrasing, summarizing, and asking open-ended questions.

The workshop included the following topics: the definition of the interview and its types, the steps of the guidance interview and factors for its success, as well as the skills of the guidance interview and the mechanism for applying them.
