The College of Education for the Humanities at the University of Kerbala organised a scientific seminar titled “Your Window to Tomorrow: Psychological Counseling as a Key to Success” presented by Prof. Dr Ahmed Abdulhussein Al-Azirjawi and Assistant Prof. Hussam Saleh Al-Rubaie, with the attendance of staff members and students of the college.
The seminar circled around the idea that studying in the university is not merely about lectures and lessons. Rather, it is a journey of self-discovery and skill refinement to achieve success. Along this journey, individuals may face psychological and social challenges requiring inner strength and profound awareness. Here, psychological counseling plays a vital role as a guiding light that opens the doors to the future. It aids in understanding oneself, managing stress, and developing a clear vision. Additionally, counseling provides the tools to balance intellect and emotion, ambition and reality, paving the way to a successful and fulfilling life.
The seminar aimed to enhance self-awareness by helping individuals deeply understand themselves, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and improve their mental well-being. It also focused on offering practical tools to manage challenges effectively, approach failure positively, and transform negative experiences into valuable learning opportunities for growth.
It is important to note that the seminar discussed key topics including self-awareness and personal development, the role of psychological counseling in improving mental health, developing social and emotional skills, planning for personal and professional goals, and turning failure into a learning opportunity.
