A book by Professor Dr. Abeer Abd-al Rasul Al-Tamimi, a faculty member in the Department of History, has been published

The book, titled “Financial Aspects in Al-ImamiyyahBooks up to the Fifth Century AH (the eleventh Century AD)” It explores what the Imamiyyah scholars wrote about financial supervision. It highlights that the primary source of financial oversight is the laws outlined in the verses of the Holy Quran revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which organized various aspects of economic life. So, the Imamiyyah scholars paid great attention to the issue due to its direct impact of financial supervision on people’s lives and livelihoods,. They used the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad and the Imams of the Ahl Al-Bayt (PBUT) as references to evaluate economic matters related to financial supervision.

Among the key topics addressed in the book are: supervision over trade, agriculture, and financial policies, as well as monitoring periodic and non-periodic financial resources. The book also covers oversight of markets, sales, the prohibition of usury, monopolies, price-setting, and price manipulation.
