As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week activities, the History Department at the College of Education for Humanities at Kerbala University organized a scientific seminar on “Technology and Its Impact on the Labor Market: New Work Patterns in the Electronic Market,” presented by Prof. Dr. Abeer Abdul Rasool Mohammed Al-Tamimi, and Eng. Dr. Haider Abdul Hussein Abdul SadaAl-Husseini), in the presence of the college professors and students.

The continuous advancement of technology has become influential in various aspects of public life, including the labour market. Technological transformations play a crucial role in determining job opportunities and shaping the labour market in general. They serve as a powerful tool in enhancing productivity and improving efficiency. Thanks to diverse developments such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, and big data analytics, this leads to structural changes in job opportunities, the nature of jobs, and their diversity.

The seminar aims to improve daily life, empower knowledge and learning, enhance communication and interaction, achieve progress and innovation, improve efficiency and productivity, and promote economic and social development.

The seminar included several key topics, the most prominent of which were: an introduction to the accounting commitment system, technology and the reshaping of the job market in the coming years, as well as technology as an opportunity for growth and innovation. Each individual can invest in these opportunities by developing themselves and seeking fields that align with technological changes.
