The Council of the College of Education for the Humanitiesheld its fifth session for the academic year (2024–2025), chairedby the esteemed Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Hadi Al-Sa’eedi. The session was attended by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, the heads of the academic departments and the Secretary of the College Council.
The meeting began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah in memory of Iraq’s martyrs. Then, it proceeded to address several significant topics, including adherence to the directives of the Ministry and the University Presidency, encouraging staffmembers to publish their research in Scopus-indexed journals, and fostering collaboration between the College and other institutions.
Discussions also included organising workshops and seminars that serve the interests of students and the community, adhering to regulations and instructions, and emphasising the achievement of the developmental plans for each department, division, and unit in the college. Furthermore, one key focus was the College’s orientation toward digital transformation, aligning with the digital advancements led by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Near the end of the session, the Dean expressed his gratitude to the Council members for their commitment to the duties and their assigned responsibilities. He also stressed the importance of teamwork spirit to advance the College’s academic mission.
