The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Education for Humanities at Kerbala University, in collaboration with the Scientific Affairs Division, organized an educational seminar titled “The Role of Women in the Success of the Family from a Geographical-Historical Perspective,” presented by Dr Sundus Mohammed Alwan is the head of the Women’s Affairs Unit and a lecturer in the Geography Department Asst.Lect.. Muslim Sadiq Hadi, a lecturer in the History Department, with the presence of professors and students of the college.The seminar aims to highlight the role of women in the success of the family and to illustrate their historical role by presenting key evidence and historical events in which women played a prominent and fundamental role. Additionally, it will address the function and responsibility of family formation, shedding light on women’s contribution to raising a generation capable of contributing to the building of a cohesive and cooperative society, making them an active element in leading social change.The seminar included revealing ways to achieve family success from a geographical perspective, whether the woman living in the city or the one residing in the countryside, how she maintains the family and the reasons for the community’s success. It also emphasized the importance of her historical role and her active role represented in the character of Lady Fatimah al_zahraa(peace be upon her) and several religious figures in the community.The seminar concluded with several recommendations, the most prominent of which are: avoiding conflict with the husband, as a woman who wants her family to succeed must not engage in conflict and disputes with her husband; abandoning jealousy, as some women are extremely jealous of their husbands, which leads to anger and disputes between the couple and has negative effects on family harmony; and the pursuit of knowledge and education, as a woman who wants her family to succeed must seek knowledge and education to teach and enlighten the entire family, whether the husband or the children. How can a woman build a family and achieve success for it while suffering from ignorance? This is extremely difficult.
