The College of Education for the Humanities Holds a Workshop on Encouraging Participation in Decision-Making

The Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the College of Education for the Humanities, University of Kerbala, organised a training workshop titled Encouraging Participation in Decision-Making. The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor DrHassan Mohammed Kazem Al-Judhailee, a staff member at the College of Islamic Sciences; Dr Muslim Hassan Khalif Al-Ghanami, a staff member at the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences; and Dr Talaat Al-Ghanami, a staff member at the College of Islamic Sciences. Moreover, the professors of the college as well as students attended the workshop.

The workshop aimed to familiarise students with the concept and process of decision-making, enhance their skills in problem analysis and solution development, and strengthen their ability to make informed and sustainable decisions. It also explored the relationship between ethics and sound decision-making practices.

The workshop concluded with several key outcomes, including students’ ability to distinguish between decision-making and decision creation, improved critical thinking and problem-solving skills, heightened awareness of the importance of ethics and values in decision-making, and enhanced teamwork capabilities through practical activities.
