The College of Education for the Humanities Organizes a Photo Exhibition Under the Slogan “We Will Not Forget” to Document the Crimes of Al-Ba’ath Regime

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Hadi Al-Sa’eedi, Dean of the College of Education for the Humanities, the college, in collaboration with Al-Alawai, Al-Hussaini and Al-Abbassi Holy Shrines, the Iraqi Center for Documenting the Crimes of Extremism, the High National Accountability and Justice Commission / Kerbala Office, the Martyrs Foundation, the Political Prisoners Foundation, and the Human Rights Directorate, organized the first photo exhibition under the slogan “We Will Not Forget”, aimed at documenting the crimes of Al-Ba’ath regime in Iraq. The exhibition involved professors teaching the course on Ba’ath Regime Crimes and second-year students from the departments of English Language, History, Applied Geography, and Educational and Psychological Sciences.

The exhibition aimed to unveil the dark face of Al-Ba’ath regime, portray the crimes committed during its dark era, and convey the methods and atrocities it inflicted on both people and nature. It also sought to raise awareness among the new generations about the scale of the brutal violence, as well as provide insight into the systematic genocide carried out by the regime.

Notably, this exhibition is the first of its kind at both the university and college levels. At the conclusion of the event, outstanding students in Al-Ba’ath Regime Crimes course and participating students were honored with Certificates of Appreciation from the High National Accountability and Justice Commission / Kerbala Office, in recognition of their valuable efforts and active participation.
