The Department of History at the College of Education for the Humanities at University of Kerbala has organized a training course titled “Manuscript and Document Verification” presented by Prof. Dr. Zaman Obeid Wannas, Assist. Prof. Dr. Naeem Abid Joudah, and Dr.Haider Abd Al-Hussein, with the attendance of postgraduate students.
The course aims to familiarize students with manuscripts and documents, training them both theoretically and practically on the methods and techniques of verification, and studying them in terms of their author, title, subject, and text.
The course has included three main topics: an introduction to manuscripts and the verification process, archiving documents and methods of documentation, and practical training on the process of verification and document archiving.
The course has concluded with several outcomes, the most notable of which were: students’ understanding of verification methods, studying texts and their subjects, as well as educating students on the importance of documents and how to utilize or archive them.
