Arabic Language Department Crowned Champion of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Football Tournament

In the final match of the “Martyrs of Al-Aqsa” football tournament, held on the field of the College of Education for the Humanities, the Arabic Language Department team was able to defeat English Department. The activity was organised and supervised by Mr. Saif Daikh, the activities coordinator at the college.

Moreover, the match was attended by a distinguished gathering, including the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Hadi Al-Sa’eedi, along with his academic and administrative deputies, as well as staff members and students.

The event commenced with a greeting from the Dean to both teams, the refereeing crew, and their accompanying delegations. This was followed by a recitation of Surah Fatiha in honour of the martyrs, then the Iraqi national anthem was played. 

The match was characterized by excitement, suspense, and intense attacks from both sides. Ultimately, Arabic Department team secured a 1-0 victory, claiming the championship title.

To conclude the tournament, the administrative deputy honoured both teams in the presence of the head of English Department, the coordinator of the Arabic Department, and the director of the media and government communication division.
