The Dean of the College of Education for the Humanities Meets with the Women’s Affairs Unit

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance women’s role and address their issues, the Dean of the College of Education for the Humanities, Prof. Dr Hadi Al-Sa’eedi, accompanied by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr Muyyad Imran, held a meeting with the Women’s Affairs Unit. Assist. Prof. Dr.Sundus Hussein Alwan, the Head of the Women’s Unit at the college, along with several members attended the meeting

The meeting included exploring new horizons in this important area, as the Dean reviewed the academic work plan for the 2024–2025 academic year and the accomplishments made bythe Unit. Furthermore, key discussions emphasised the need to focus on significant seminars and workshops addressing women’s issues in light of strategic changes and future directives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Additionally, plans were made to organise student forums and competitions as priority activities during the second semester, alongside collaboration with governmental institutions, including the Provincial Council and the Social Welfare Unit/Department of Women’s Affairs, to contribute to the development of both family and community.

The Dean praised the vital role of the Women’s Affairs Unit and its organised activities, encouraging the members of the Unit to continue achieving success in serving the college and the university.
