Libraries in Kerbala as a source of knowledge: A scientific seminar organized by the College of Education for the Humanities

The College of Education for the Humanities at University of Kerbala, in collaboration with the Kerbala Center for Studies and Research affiliated with the Holy HussainiShrine, has organized a scientific symposium titled “Libraries in Kerbala as a Source of Knowledge: A Studyof Reality and Transformations” The symposium was chaired by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Hadi Al-Saeedi, and presented by: Assist. Prof. Dr. Zainab Abd Al-Wahid Al-Waeli from Al-Mustansiriya University, Mr. Salman HadiAl-Tamimi, and Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Amiri, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Al-Shabri.The seminar aimed to highlight the most important libraries in Kerbala and their role in spreading knowledge and community culture, which serve as venues for literary, social, and political events.The seminar included the following topics: Libraries in Kerbala as a Source of Knowledge: A Study of Reality and Transformations, as well as the History of Libraries in Kerbala in the Past, in addition to Libraries from the Perspective of Personal Experience Locally and Globally.The seminar concluded by emphasizing the importance of libraries in promoting knowledge and culture, with a call to encourage young people to return to reading as part of building comprehensive societal awareness.It is worth mentioning that the College of Education for the Humanities, in collaboration with the Karbala Center for Studies and Research, has begun organizing numerous scientific seminars periodically in various specializations to serve the academic community and the scientific movement at the university.
