As part of the scientific and academic efforts of the faculty members of the College of Education for the Humanities at the University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Al-Izerjawi, Head of the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, was selected as a member of the scientific committee for the third international scientific advisory conference titled “The Role of Guidance in Addressing Societal Problems,” which was held under the auspices of the Holy Al-Husainiya Shrine and the Presidency of the Family Guidance and Counseling Department at the University of Warith Al-Anbiya (peace be upon him).The conference aims to root guiding concepts in Islamic thought in general and in the thought of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), as well as to attract, focus, and encourage researchers’ efforts to address important societal issues and problems to interpret and find solutions for them, in addition to exchanging experiences and knowledge among specialists in the field of guidance in all its areas.The participation of the staff members of the College of Education for the Humanities in international scientific conferences aligns with the college’s approach of openness and active participation in international academic forums, as well as local ones, and within the efforts which aimed at developing the humanities and social sciences and broadening their horizons, in addition to highlighting local and global experiences in the field of humanities and social sciences
