The esteemed Dean of the College of Education for the Humanities, Professor Dr. Hadi Al-Sa’eedi, honoured the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, represented by its distinguished Head, Professor Dr. Ahmad Al-Azirjawi, along with the Committee for Monitoring the Department’s Development Plan. This recognition was awarded for their exceptional efforts in elevating academic standards, resulting in the department achieving the second position in the 2024 National Classification of academic departments. This achievement aligns with initiatives to advance the educational environment, assess institutional and programmatic performance indicators, and enhance the direction of scientific research.
In his remarks, the Dean highlighted that this accomplishment is a testament to the unwavering dedication and meticulous effort demonstrated by all members of the college. He extended his congratulations to the college and the broader university, emphasizing that this distinction reflects a collective commitment to excellence and the pursuit of academic advancement.
It is noteworthy that the evaluation encompassed 2,072 academic departments across 100 public and private universities and colleges. The ranking was determined based on specific criteria for assessing departmental performance, which included 50% for quality and program accreditation, 25% for staffexcellence, and 25% for international rankings of academic disciplines.
