To Discuss Future Plans and Activities: The Dean of the College of Education for the Humanities Meets with Committees of Students’ Activities

The esteemed Dean of the College of Education for the Humanities, Professor Dr. Hadi Al-Sa’eedi, convened a meeting with the Committees of Students’ Activities (covering sports and artistic activities) to deliberate on future plans and initiatives. The meeting was attended by the respected Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Mo’ayed OmranChiyad, alongside committee members.

The discussion revolved around the critical importance of intensifying efforts to highlight student activities and emphasizing their significance. The Dean underscored the need to engage actively with students to discover their skills and innovations, stressing the importance of supporting them and providing the necessary resources to foster an inclusive and stimulating educational environment.

Professor Dr. Al-Sa’eedi called for the expansion of student activities to encompass additional areas, such as organizing exhibitions for photography, painting, and decorative arts, as well as bazaars to showcase student creations. He also suggested hosting festivals celebrating poetry, literature, and creative writing.

Furthermore, the Dean proposed conducting dialogue seminars led by staff members with student participation. These seminars would serve as platforms for presenting and discussing ideas and talents, while encouraging students to take responsibility for managing such sessions and voicing their opinions—a valuable opportunity to teach them constructive dialogue management.

Regarding the promotion of student talents, the Dean recommended establishing partnerships with government and private institutions, as well as civil society organizations, to market student initiatives. Additionally, he emphasized utilizing media to spotlight students’ projects and innovations through dedicated programs that showcase their experiences and creativity.

The Dean directed the committees to elevate the level of participation in student activities, particularly practical initiatives. He also suggested organizing creative competitions with clearly defined criteria for submissions, fostering an environment of healthy competition.

The meeting concluded with a consensus on the necessity of collaboration among all departments and students to achieve common goals. A comprehensive plan to enhance student activities was agreed upon, aiming to create a positive impact on both the college and its students.
