In honor of the auspicious birth anniversary of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him), the respected Dean of the College of Education for the Humanities, Prof. Dr. Hadi Al-Saeedi, attended the fourth annual festival of classical poetry on the anniversary of the birth of the Commander of the Believers(peace be upon them), which was held by the ‘Imam Amir Al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him) Center for Specialized Studies and Research in Najaf Al-Ashraf’ under the slogan “eloquenceis magic”.
The festival began with the recitation of some verses from the Holy Quran by the reciter of the Holy Shrine of Al-Imam Ali (AS), Sheikh Qasim Al-Jabouri, followed by a speech by the General Supervisor of the Center, His Eminence Sayyid Ali Al-Jabouri, in which he congratulated the honorable attendees and the Islamic world on the anniversary of the blessed birth. He then added, saying: “The importance of these festivals held on this blessed anniversary stems from the aim of establishing the values of virtue, goodness, beauty, justice and righteousness in the minds and hearts of people to pave the way for building the faithful person, the righteous society, and the qualified nation, with all merit to raise the banner of knowledge, civilization and human justice…”. While the poets’ throats resounded with their poems, which reached eleven poems in which poets from inside Iraq and abroad participated. The poems included a section of Muwashahat by the Holy Shrine of Al-Imam Ali (AS) chanting band.
