One of the staff members from the Department of Applied Geography at the College of Education for the Humanities at the University of Kerbala participated. Dr Zaid Kamil Jawad at the Seventh International Scientific Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences held in the city of Duhok with the research titled “The Geographical Distribution of Dairy Production Factories in the Holy Governorate of Karbala.”
The importance of the research is highlighted by shedding light on one of the most important productive industries in Karbala Governorate, which plays a significant role in providing job opportunities for young people. This is in line with the technological advancements available in the dairy production factories in the governorate, making it easier for young people to obtain job opportunities without the need for extensive and high-level knowledge in product manufacturing, as well as the ease of handling the used machinery.
The research aims to understand the geographical distribution of dairy production factories in the governorate and to know the distribution pattern in terms of regularity, as well as to understand the role of these factories in meeting local market needs, and to identify the key factors that could develop dairy factories in the holy city of Karbala.
