As part of the “Success Stories” series, the Women’s Affairs Unit, in collaboration with the History Department at the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Kerbala, organized a cultural meeting with the Iraqi poet Amal Al-Khafaji, under the supervision of the unit’s head,Dr. Sundus Mohammed Alwan, under the management of Prof.Dr. Iyad Abdul Hussein Sayhud Al-Khafaji, andAsst.Lect. Zahra Adnan Alwan.The activity aims to host successful women who have made their mark in building society, believing in their effective and influential role in shaping the future.The meeting highlighted the importance of women’s cultural activities within the framework of leadership in society and emphasized the necessity of affirming their active role in various aspects of life, as they are mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters, and they leave significant marks on the family and community.It is worth mentioning that the poetess has four published works: “There is No One Else I Call Violet,” “The Emotions of the Lady of the Violet,” “The Violet and I,” in addition to “What the Violet Has Not Revealed.” Her writings varied across many topics, including national, religious, and romantic themes, ranging from short prose texts to column poetry and flashes.
