Dr. Noor Hussein Al-Rashidi, in the presence of the college professors and students.
The seminar highlighted that Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib(peace be upon him) addressed the topic of women in many of his speeches, sermons, and sayings, expressing his comprehensive vision of the role of women in society and the family. He also spoke about their nature, rights, and duties in various contexts.
The seminar included a set of main topics, including women in the Holy Quran, in the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings, and the sayings of Imam Ali (PBUH), as well as women’s duties and responsibilities.
The seminar concluded that women’s responsibilities, according to Imam Ali (peace be upon him), vary between their role in the family as mothers and wives, and their social role as active members contributing to the building of moral values, while maintaining a balance between these roles. The Imam viewed women as a fundamental pillar of society, warning against neglecting their respect or burdening them with tasks beyond their capacity.
