The College of Education for the Humanities organizes a workshop on Ethics of Scientific Research

As part of the program to develop research skills for postgraduate students, the College of Education for the Humanities at Kerbala University organized a workshop titled “Ethics of Scientific Research” presented by Prof. Dr.Hazim Allawi Obeid. The workshop was attended by postgraduate students from various disciplines, including Law, Administration and Economics, Pure Sciences Education, and the Humanities.

The workshop aimed to prevent behaviours that violate the ethics of research in academic settings, as well as to identify research gaps by familiarizing students with the ethics of scientific research besides a set of ethical principles, and personal traits that should be available in researchers. These elements serve as standards to ensure the credibility and quality of scientific research and activate its role in both the university and society.

The workshop included several topics, such as an introduction to the concept of scientific research and its importance, its motivations, the ethics of scientific researchers, as well as how to avoid scientific plagiarism in writing research papers.
