The College of Education for the Humanities at the University of Kerbala launched the Initiative forEntrepreneurship and Sustainable Development by organizing the first forum for talented students, which was held in the college gardens in the presence of Professor Dr. Hadi Al-Saeedi, the Dean of the College, his academic and administrative assistants, and several heads of scientific departments.
The forum witnessed discussions on several topics, where the esteemed Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Al-Saidi, highlighted the students’ talents and the importance of nurturing and preparing them in a way that aligns with the job market’s requirements. The mechanism for involving governmental, semi-governmental, and private sector institutions in supporting and optimally investing in these talents was also discussed.
Asst.Lect.Ahmed Hamid Al-Abadi, one of the staff member of the Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development Committee emphasized the importance of this initiative as a first step towards holding the international conference that will address “Entrepreneurship and Development Programs, Scientific Incubators, and Innovations in the Educational Environment.” He explained that the college has begun activating activities related to this initiative and opened the door for students from the five departments to present their talents to the specialized committee, which will oversee their evaluation and development.
This initiative comes within the framework of the college’s commitment to supporting creativity and innovation among students, equipping them with skills that enable them to face future challenges and contribute effectively to achieving sustainable development goals.
