The Department of Applied Geography at the College of Education for the Humanities at the University of Kerbala organized an advisory lecture titled (The Drug Menace and Its Harmful Effects on the Individual and Society and Ways to Address It), presented by the head of the advisory committee, Dr. Noha Naama Mohammed.
The lecture aims to shed light on the scourge of drugs and the fundamental problems that plague society and the student population, which need to be fought against.
The lecture addressed the main reasons leading to the spread of this scourge in Iraqi society and reached the most important ways to address or mitigate it, the damages caused by drug use, the main pathological symptoms and treatment methods, how to deal with the addict, and ways to prevent this dangerous scourge, in addition to emphasizing the necessity of adhering to good behavior and adhering to university regulations.
