The Department of Arabic at the College of Education for the Humanities, University of Kerbala, held a scientific symposium titled “Curriculum Challenges in the Departments of Colleges of Education for the Humanities: Renewal and Future Prospects”. The symposium featured lectures by Prof. Dr. Maki Mohi Eidani and Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hussein Ali Zaein. Notably, the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Jinan Mansour Kazem, attended the event along with Dr. Ahmed Al-Tufaili, the department’s rapporteur, as well as a large number of staff members.
The symposium focused on discussing the current curricula adopted in the Department of Arabic and the necessary modifications required to enhance their effectiveness.
The event concluded with several key recommendations, among which is the proposal to organise a specialised scientific conference dedicated to a detailed inspection of this matter. The conference would invite governmental and non-governmental institutions with expertise in curriculum development, as well as distinguished scholars, to formulate a comprehensive vision that could be presented to the relevant authorities for review and potential adoption.
