Within the framework of the participation of professors and lecturers from the College of Education for the Humanities at the University of Kerbala in the cultural and scientific evaluation committees, Dr. Salam Salman Hussein, was chosen as a member of the jury of the Students’ Festival for Eloquent Poetry to select the students who will represent the university in the festival.
The committee formed by the respected President of the University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, works to ensure the selection of competent students to represent the university in the festival of poetry through tests that include the axes of the arts of poetry, such as meters, rhythms and rhymes of the poem, the integrity of the language, the subject of the poem and the unity of the text, the effective presence and literary boldness of the poet through recitation on the platform, the poetic image, the eloquence of the text and the nature of the subject.
It is worth noting that the festival aims to develop students’ abilities in writing classical poetry through a package of literary and cultural activities organized by the university with the aim of encouraging creativity and contributing to the cultural scene at the university.
