The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Iraq and the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education, and Vocational Training in Yemen have signed an executive agreement for 2025-2028.
During a joint press conference in Baghdad, Iraq’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, explained that the agreement includes providing Yemeni students scholarships to study in Iraqi universities through the “Study in Iraq” programme across various disciplines. The agreement also stressed facilitating the exchange of expertise and training programmes.
In turn, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Al-Wesabi, Yemen’s Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education, and Vocational Training, praised the cooperation extended by Iraq’s Ministry of Higher Education and the positive environment fostering the enrollment of international students in the “Study in Iraq” programme, while emphasising the importance of strengthening cultural exchange between the two partner countries.
