New Readings in the Prophetic Biography: An Introductory Symposium at the College of Education for the Humanities in Collaboration with Al-Abbas Holy Shrine

As part of the ongoing collaboration between the College of Education for the Humanities at the University of Kerbala and the General Secretariat of Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, Dar Al-Rasool Al-Azam Centre organised an introductory symposium on Nabina, a peer-reviewed journal specialised in research on the Prophetic Biography. The journal, Nabina, is published in: Arabic, English, and French. The symposium featured lectures by Prof. Dr. Laith Qabil Ubaid, a staff member in the Department of Arabic Language, and Mr. Hassan Ali Abdul-Latif, the journal’s representative at the centre.

It is important to note that the symposium aimed at encouraging academic researchers from various fields—both humanities and empirical sciences—to contribute to the journal. It served as an open invitation to distinguished scholars and intellectuals with deep insights into the Prophetic Biography, advocating for an objective and scholarly approach grounded in the Qur’an and authentic historical narratives. The ultimate goal is to produce intellectual, cultural, and creative scholarship that fosters self-awareness and promotes a deeper understanding of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and his message to both scholars and the wider global community.
