With effective steps and calls for participation, the College of Education for the Humanities at the University of Kerbala has prepared to hold its first scientific conference for postgraduate students’ research under the slogan “The Effectiveness of Scientific Research in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals for Postgraduate Students,” scheduled to be held on Thursday, (27/2/2015).
The conference aims to enhance the role of scientific research in achieving sustainable development goals by highlighting the contributions of graduate students in the humanities fields, as well as analyzing developmental issues related to the disciplines of Arabic language, geography, history, English language, and educational and psychological sciences. It also emphasizes the importance of scientific research in finding sustainable solutions, in addition to developing research methodologies in the humanities to enhance their ability to address environmental, social, and economic challenges in accordance with sustainable development principles, and enabling graduate students to develop their research skills in line with developmental priorities at both local and global levels.
The conference includes the following topics: Arabic language, historical studies, educational and psychological sciences, English language, and the applied geography track.
For his part, the esteemed Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Muayad Imran Jiyad, clarified that all committees have completed the technical and logistical preparations. We have made a great effort to invite all relevant state institutions and departments in Karbala Governorate, in addition to emphasizing that the research outputs must address real societal issues and serve the governorate.
