The College of Education for the Humanities Organises a Seminar on Student-Teacher Evaluation Mechanisms

The Division of Scientific Affairs, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division at the College of Education for the Humanities, University of Kerbala, organised a seminar entitled “The Student-Teacher: Rights and Responsibilities”.
Prof. Sadiq Ubaid Al-Shafei (PhD) presented the seminar while Prof. Uday Obaidan Al-Jarrah(PhD) moderated it. Moreover, the seminar targeted teachers from the Ministry of Education who will supervise the College’s students during their practicum period.

The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of the practicum phase for student-teachers and to clarify the evaluation criteria used by supervisors, in addition to explaining the procedures and regulations related to the practicum.

Furthermore, the seminar covered several key topics, including an introduction to the College of Education and its significance, as well as the differences between it and other colleges such as the College of Arts and the College of Science, emphasising the importance of educational and psychological courses, particularly Teaching Methods and Teaching Applications (Practical Education), and clarifying the stages the student-teacher goes through from receiving the practicum assignment until the end of the training period.
