“THE ARABIC LANGUAGE IS OUR IDENTITY” LITERARY PROGRAMS AND ACADEMIC CULTURAL EVENTS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ARABIC LANGUAGE

    In an academic cultural event that highlights the greatness of the Arabic language and its pivotal role in shaping cultural and intellectual identity and to consolidate awareness of the importance of the Arabic language as a language of science and literature and to enhance students’ connection to it. Thus, with the support of the Deanship of the College of Education for the Humanities, second-year students for morning and evening studies in the Department of Arabic Language organized an academic literary event under the motto “The Arabic Language is Our Identity”.

    The events included a distinguished scientific and literary program, a scientific dialogue that highlights the grammatical schools of the language and literary paragraphs that highlight the beauty of the language, as the ceremony opened with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, then a play presented by the students, followed by literary paragraphs and poetic debates between the students, literary texts, then posing rhetorical and grammatical questions in the Arabic language presented by the poet Haider Hawad to the attending students and supervised by the student representative Ahmed Ali Mohi.

    The ceremony concluded with honoring a group of the department’s professors in an initiative to appreciate their efforts in preserving the rich linguistic heritage. This event embodies the department’s commitment to preserving the Arabic language and presenting it in a manner befitting its distinguished status, and urges students to showcase their abilities and skills in their academic specialization.
