The Dean of the College of Education for Humanitiesconducts an inspection visit to the Graduate Studies Department in the collegeIn order to ensure the smooth operation of the departments and units in the college, the esteemed Dean of the College of Education for the Humanities , Professor Dr. Hadi Al-Saeedi, conducted an inspection visit to the Graduate Studies Department in the college.During the visit, the procedures followed for issuing university orders and documents to graduating students were reviewed, emphasizing the importance of streamlining the processes.At the end of the visit, the dean praised the efforts made by the department’s staff, promising to ease the difficulties in order to improve their work better.
A master’s thesis in the Arabic Department discussing the poetic selections in the book “Zawahir al-Fikr waJawahir al-Faqr” by Ibn al-Murabit al-Muradi (663 AH)Continuing with the sessions for discussing the theses and dissertations of graduate students at the College of Education for the Humanities at University of Kerbala, a master’s thesis titled “Poetic Selections in the Book ‘Zawahir al-Fikr wa Jawahir al-Faqr’ by Ibn al-Murabit al-Muradi (663 AH)” was discussed in the department of Arabic . The thesis was presented by researcher Janat Ali Mahdi, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Muhammad Hussein Abdullah Al-Mahdawi.The researcher aimed in her thesis to shed light on the poetic selections in the book “Zawahir al-Fikr wa Jawahiral-Faqr,” and to define poetic selections as a fundamental pillar and a central point in literary composition, as well as the literary, historical, and social values they achieve. She aimed to clarify the poetic selections based on various classification methods, some of which rely on selecting the poems of a specific poet, or on the basis of selecting a group of poets belonging to a specific time period, or it may include successive literary stages from the eras of Arabic literature, and it is an important source worthy of study and research.The researcher concluded that Ibn al-Murabit al-Muradi’scollection in his book “Zawahir al-Fikr wa Jawahir al-Faqr” contains abundant literary material from the poets of the city of Oriola in the 7th century of the Hijra, and that the poets of “Zawahir al-Fikr wa Jawahir al-Faqr” are linked by a specific temporal and spatial context, as Ibn al-Murabit’sselections are defined by a particular time and place.Moreover, some poets of the flowers of thought and jewels of poverty received a generous selection from Ibn al-Murabit compared to others, such as Abu Bakr Yahya Ibn al-Murabit al-Muradi, who is related to the author (his cousin), and Ibn al-Jannan al-Andalusi, who has a friendship with the author.The discussion committee consisted ofProf. Dr. Ali Kazem Mohammed Al-Moslehi, ChairmanProf. Dr. Khaled Abdul-Kadhim Adhari, MemberAssociate Professor Dr. A’ad Kamel Saber, MemberProf. Dr. Mohamed Hussein Abdullah Al-Mahdawi, member and supervisor
The Cultural and Artistic Activities Unit is holding a Scientific Seminar on the role of the University Sudentsin Promoting Sustainable DvelopmentUnder the guidance of the esteemed Dean of the College of Education for Humanities , Professor Dr. Hadi Al-Saeedi, the Cultural and Artistic Activities Unit at the college organized a scientific seminar titled “The Role of University Students in Promoting Sustainable Development,” presented by Dr. Abbas Ubaid Al-Amiri, with the attendance of a staff members and students from the department.The seminar aimed to educate students about the importance of sustainable development, as they are the largest culturally qualified and socially influential group to create a generation capable of facing the challenges that threaten the foundations of a sustainable healthy environment.The seminar included an introduction to the concept of sustainable development and its fundamental pillars: “environment, society, economy, and culture,” as well as explaining the role of sustainable development in providing scientific and cultural awareness that contributes to the organized benefit from natural resources and wealth, in addition to ways to sustain them for future generations and protect them from various dangers such as climate change, deforestation, overfishing, and gas emissions.
The Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences organizes a voluntary initiative for a sustainable environmentIn a step aimed at promoting a sustainable environmental reality, the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the College of Education for the Humanities, University of Kerbala, organized a voluntary campaign to plant plants and trees within the department and its surroundings.The initiative aimed at raising awareness of the importance of a sustainable green environment in our lives comes at a time when environmental challenges such as biodiversity loss, climate change, and global warming are increasing.It is noted that the College of Education for the Humanities seeks, through voluntary initiatives for its teaching and administrative staff, to enhance the sense of responsibility towards the environment, in addition to organizing workshops, seminars, and exhibitions to educate about sustainable environments and integrate the theoretical aspect with the practical aspect in the educational process.
