The Cultural and Artistic Activities Unit is holding a Scientific Seminar on the role of the University Sudentsin Promoting Sustainable DvelopmentUnder the guidance of the esteemed Dean of the College of Education for Humanities , Professor Dr. Hadi Al-Saeedi, the Cultural and Artistic Activities Unit at the college organized a scientific seminar titled “The Role of University Students in Promoting Sustainable Development,” presented by Dr. Abbas Ubaid Al-Amiri, with the attendance of a staff members and students from the department.The seminar aimed to educate students about the importance of sustainable development, as they are the largest culturally qualified and socially influential group to create a generation capable of facing the challenges that threaten the foundations of a sustainable healthy environment.The seminar included an introduction to the concept of sustainable development and its fundamental pillars: “environment, society, economy, and culture,” as well as explaining the role of sustainable development in providing scientific and cultural awareness that contributes to the organized benefit from natural resources and wealth, in addition to ways to sustain them for future generations and protect them from various dangers such as climate change, deforestation, overfishing, and gas emissions.
