Urban Planning: Contemporary Visions and Ideas: A Workshop at the Department of Applied Geography

The Department of Applied Geography at the College of Education for the Humanities, University of Kerbala, organised a workshop titled “Urban Planning: Contemporary Visions and Ideas.” The workshop was presented by Prof. Riyadh Kazem Al-Jumaili(PhD) and targeted postgraduate students in the department.

The workshop intended to provide insights into the philosophy of modern urban planning, explore contemporary urban planning theories, identify the characteristics of newly developed cities, and highlight future predictions for urban development.

Most importantly, several key topics were addressed in the workshop including the fundamentals of contemporary urban planning, the latest urban theories, and an exploration of future city models.
