Coinciding with the martyrdom of Imam Ali (PBUH), the Unitof Arts and Cultural Activities at the College of Education for the Humanities at the University of Kerbala organized the cultural festival entitled “The Pillars of Guidance and the Firmest Bond” in cooperation with ‘Karbala Writers Union’. There is no greater occasion than commemorating the martyrdom of the Commander of the faithful people (PBUH), that great man who offered humanity various gifts. We need a new reading of Al- Imam Ali (PBUH), so that we can benefit from him and engage with his visions to address the problems of the present. Perhaps his (PBUH) qualities include: (his courage, his truthfulness, his trustworthiness with public funds, his sense of responsibility, his refusal to compromise on justice, his fairness to people, and many other things that call for reflection and contemplation…)

In addition, there were poetry recitals by distinguished poets from the ‘Karbala Writers Union’, faculty members, and students, embodying the character and life of Imam Ali (PBUH) and his pure and virtuous family. It is worth noting that, the aim of the festival is to convey a message to the whole world about the faith, courage and wisdom of Imam Ali (PBUH), and for students and recipients to draw inspiration from the stories and lessons.
