Asst. Prof. Dheyaa Khaleel Nayel, the Head of the Department of English, held a meeting with the department’s teaching and administrative staff to discuss several academic and administrative matters.
The meeting addressed the need for staff members to join research teams to work on publishing in Scopus–and Clarivate-indexed journals. Additionally, the meeting spotted the challenges faced by postgraduate supervisors and suggested effective solutions. The meeting also emphasised the importance of adopting a supportive, advisory, and educational approach when dealing with students.
Moreover, the Head of the Department praised the efforts of the teaching, administrative, and service staff for their dedication to adopting various activities in the department and the college.
It is worth noting that the Department of English at the College of Education for the Humanities holds regular meetings to exchange ideas and to work on improving the department.
