Department of Arabic Language Discusses Doctoral Thesis on Aspects of Narration in Hilla Poets Until the End of the Ninth Century AH

On Monday morning, April 29, 2024, in the “Master of Martyrs” Hall in the College of Education for the Humanities, a doctoral thesis was discussed in the Department of Arabic Language for the student (Hadeer Dia Hussein) entitled (Aspects of Narration in Hilla Poets Until the End of the Ninth Century AH). The thesis came under the supervision of Professor Dr. (Harbi Naim Muhammad).**

The thesis structure consisted of an introduction, four chapters, and a conclusion. The first chapter was titled (The Event) and was divided into three sections. The second chapter was titled (The Character) and was organized into two sections. The third chapter was titled (The Narrative Space) and was organized into two sections. The fourth chapter was titled (Dialogue) and was distributed into three sections.**

The study reached several results, including:

* The event in Hilla poets is represented in the transfer of all conflicts in front of reality in its various types and the expression of them in an expressive and informative way in a narrative manner and with a creative vision subject to psychological and emotional transformations and broadcasting them to the recipient to prove the poets their psychological and social goals.

*  Hilla poet’s knowledge of all these events and his ability to take into account the appearance of events in the narrative structure enabled him to convey their contents to the recipient in the form of flashbacks, summaries, and pauses that contributed to clarifying the vision of the poet and the recipient.

After a thorough scientific discussion by the scientific committee headed by Professor Dr. (Karima Nomas Al-Madani), the thesis was approved, and the student was awarded a PhD in Arabic Language. The discussion was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. (Sabah Wajid Ali), the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. (Muyyied Omran Chiyad ), and a number of the college’s instructors and employees.
