The Dean of the College of Education participates in a lecture by the Iraqi scholar Adel Al-Husseini on sustainable development.The esteemed Dean of the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Kerbala, Professor Dr. Hadi Al-Saeedi, participated in the scientific lecture titled “The Role of Science and Technology in Achieving Sustainable Development,” which was presented by the Iraqi scholar Adel Sharif Al-Husseini.The lecture included a discussion on the importance of science and technology in addressing various climate and environmental challenges, whether in the fields of energy, water, food, or health, by relying on technology due to its speed in execution, impartiality, and low error rates.The lecture also included a discussion on the role of artificial intelligence and the information it provides in the field of achieving sustainable development, leading to a society free from poverty, diseases, and various challenges that hinder sustainable development.Professor Adel Sharif is considered one of the most important scientists in the world. He holds 25 patents, for which he received the British Queen’s Award for Water Research, in addition to obtaining his master’s and doctoral degrees from Swansea University in the UK. He currently holds several positions, including Scientific Advisor to the Iraq Development Fund in the Cabinet and Professor at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
