IT Division Organises Training Course on Electronic Archiving Using Scanners

The Information Technology Division at the College of Education for the Humanities, University of Kerbala, organised the first course in its second edition of the Administrative Skills Development Program, titled “Electronic Archiving and Document Storage Structure Using Scanners.” The division’s director, Lect. Mohi Murtadha Mohi Al-Qazwini (PhD) delivered the course.

Moreover, the course aimed to enhance participants’ skills and train them in the effective use of electronic archiving techniques and structured document storage.

The course shed light on the significance of electronic archiving as a comprehensive solution for organising data and preserving documents, with special emphasis on using scanners to convert paper documents into high-quality digital formats. Additionally, it offered strategies for classifying and organising documents according to international standards to ensure easy access and sustainable archiving systems.

It is important to note that the course covered four main areas: an introduction to electronic archiving, key modern archiving technologies, document storage structuring, and quality assurance and sustainability of the archiving system.
