The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Education for the Humanities, University of Kerbala, has organized a training course titled “Promoting the Culture of Participation in Decision-Making,” delivered by Prof. Dr.Sadiq Obbeis Al-Shafei and Prof. Dr. Ali Turki Al-Fatlawi.
The course has aimed to shed light on the concept of participation in decision-making as a process grounded in scientific principles and based on well-defined and thoughtful steps. It emphasized the importance of adhering to these steps in order to arrive at decisions that are accurate, effective, and in the public interest. Additionally, the course distinguished between the processes of decision-making and decision-taking.
The course, which was attended by a selected group of faculty and administrative staff, concluded with an exploration of the concept of participation in decision-making, its significance within communities and institutions, and the key mechanisms and methods that contribute to spreading this culture across different sectors.
